Meanings for Croich
Cróich (Gaelic), has essentially the same meaning as the English word "Cloak". The word cloak is most likely an Anglicized translation of cróich as the letter R in cróich is "trilled" and therefore sounds more like a letter L in English. Likewise the CH in cróich makes the same sound as a guttural letter K in English.
