Wine tasting is an endless and unbounded subject that can take the senses into uncharted territory very quickly. If you are a professional you know the importance of recognizing subtleties that can determine whether your wine will spoil in the bottle or on the shelf. For the rest of us, wine tasting can be a very straight forward and fun adventure, usually with friends in a casual setting.
There are some wonderful wine tasting tours where you can hire a limousine or other transportation and visit several wineries. They have fun Temecula wine tasting tours here in my area of Southern California. But a wine tasting party can be with just a fiew friends or even with some of the clubs such as Wine Brats. In any case, its always fun to bring along a copy of How To Pronounce French German and Italian Wine Names. Personally, I think that wine is much like fine art. You just simply know what you like. It is as personal as art, and as individuals we have different tastes. But that's the fun of it all, right?
